The Fence Store uses Western Red Cedar, Fence Grade
No. 1. It is durable and decay resistant wood that is suitable for
our Midwest climate.
Because the wood has natural oils that resist decay, staining is on option but is not necessary. Cedar wood can be left to weather to a silvery gray, making it virtually maintenance free. There are many different types of wood fences to choose from.
